My grandmother, Flo, was the founder of Flo's Scotch Shortbread. She humbly served her community of Cumberland, MD as a high school teacher for over 60 years. During the holidays and in the summer, she sold her famous Scottish shortbread cookies at the local Heritage Days festival and sold out EVERY year. After her passing in 2017, I chose to honor this magnificent woman by keeping her delicious shortbread thriving and available all year round.

Following my retirement from the Air Force, I’ve embraced a new chapter here in the Florida Panhandle — one that feels both peaceful and deeply personal. What began as a family recipe has grown into a full‑time passion, and it means so much to share Flo’s Scotch Shortbread with people who cherish it as much as I do. Every batch connects me to my Scottish roots, my family, and now to you.

My husband, Chuck, is also a retired Air Force veteran; he owns and operates his own successful fishing charter (Above the Salt Charters). This incredible man supports everything I do. He loved my grandmother and her cookies and was thrilled when I decided to keep this small part of my grandmother's tremendous legacy going. He's a top-notch salesman and cookie-taster extraordinaire!
